Natural Life Products on sale at Gatewood Hall Gracious Home

We have proudly carried the Natural Life line for a few years and we absolutely love it! Patti Hughes the creator tells the story of getting started in her business as a person who loved to make special gifts for people. This passion was passed down from her mother who was described as always making something and "rarely seen without sawdust in her hair, stain on her fingers or a paint brush behind her ear". Three decades later, in 1996 Patti turned this passion into her own gift business. Today her products are turning heads across the country because of their unique, trend-setting and hand made quality. Along with heartfelt sentiments and affordable prices they truly do make the perfect gift.

The pillows have several wonderful thoughts and there is one for nearly everyone!!

The Natural Life Baby items make great shower gifts. The detail that goes into everything from the packaging to the final garment is amazing. We carry several different "onesies" and bibs. The little photo brag books are great for grandmothers!

We love the peace mugs!! Have you noticed that anything with a peace sign is so popular right now. We also have key chains with charms and great corduroy change purses, photo Id bags and I-pod holders. We can hardly keep the Natural Life hats and ball caps in stock!!

These linen towels started it all for us...When we first saw these we knew that we had to get this line. They are a perfect little pick-me-up or a great hostess gift. Patti's philosophy is that gifts that come from the heart allow you to naturally give, love and laugh. Our hope is that you too will love to give and receive Natural Life products. Come in this weekend and purchase your own special NL goody, all Natural Life products are 20% off suggested retail prices!! See you this weekend!

Gatewood Hall and Blue Ridge, GA Featured in National Magazine

Some of you may remember that this time last year we had the folks from Southern Lady Magazine in our store taking photos and writing an article about Blue Ridge, Georgia...we are happy to say that we are in this months edition. They did a wonderful job introducing our town to the rest of the world. They visited our store along with a few others, they mentioned some of our great restaurants and of course our scenic railway. In another article they featured Mercier Orchards with some excellent photos. In our favorite article they feature some of our favorite customers and friends from Fair Hope, Alabama. They show Anita, Clay, Delana and Charlene enjoying the beautiful North Georgia fall beside a river near their cabins.

In yet another article they show a gorgeous Autumnal tablescape in Anita's cabin and they featured our pewter acorn stemware as well as our bear salt and pepper sets. It has been so fun to receive calls from around the country requesting info about our store or wanting to purchase these items!

In the photo above they show a very cozy shot of our Pine Cone Hill display bed dressed in the Riona quilt.

This issue of Southern Lady is really a keeper, it has some outstanding photos of our special corner of the world...and some delicious recipes. (Anita and Charlene said the S'mores on the cover are to die for...homemade marshmallows, who knew!!) Anyway pick up a copy, grab a cup of tea and enjoy!

Happy Labor Day! Come in and see us this weekend, we have some new arrivals, and some great specials!

Fezziwig's Opens This Week

We are so happy to announce that our friends Bradley & Candel (of Otis & Matilda's Marina Grill) are opening their new holiday store this week in downtown Blue Ridge. Their new venture is called Fezziwig's and it is an extravaganza for all seasons! We have had a sneak peak and the store is like a winter wonderland. They have created some of the most beautiful Christmas trees, with some of the most unique ornaments around. Just step inside their shop and you feel transported into another time, it is so cozy and the lighting is so dramatic you feel like you are walking through a Christmas tree farm.
Fezziwig's will offer various seasonal collectibles including Halloween and Easter items. Some of the exclusive lines they have are Department 56, Christopher Radko, Hillhouse Naturals, and Old World. Below are two ornaments that Shawn and I love (they remind us of our beloved dog Chloe).

Be sure to stop in and see Bradley & Candel, and tell them that we sent you! Fezziwig's is located on Main Street just across from the train depot (next door to SSSHiney Baubles) you can't miss their gorgeous display window! In case you don't know who Fezziwig is be sure to get them to tell you the story. Finally and sadly Otis & Matilda's Marina Grill closes for the season after this weekend so you better stop in and get your "fix" before they are gone. Oh how I am going to miss the chicken salad and cupcakes.
