Silver Seasons Jewlery Exclusively at Gatewood Hall

We are so proud to be the exclusive dealer in Blue Ridge, Georgia selling the jewelry that Michael Michaud designs for Silver Seasons.
Michael Michaud was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Westport, Connecticut. He currently resides in Fairfield, Connecticut with his wife Tricia and their three children Nicole, Shane and Michael. Silver Seasons is the combination of Michael's exceptional knowledge of jewelry making and his love of nature. Starting as an apprentice mold cutter in 1973, Michael soon became a master precious metal caster and mold maker.
In 1976, seeking even more knowledge, Michael moved on to Rochester Institute of Technology's prestigious School for American Craftsmen. While studying under esteemed designers Hans Christenson and Gary Griffin, he mastered many of the techniques he uses today to capture the beauty and exquisite detail of nature in metal. After graduation in 1980, Michael returned to the jewelry manufacturing community and worked for some of America's leading jewelry designers.
In 1991, lucky enough to be living in the Connecticut countryside and working near New York City's flower district, Michael's love of nature began to combine with his love of jewelry. He began experimenting with the techniques that eventually launched the Silver Seasons collection in 1992.
Silver Seasons jewelry is made using the lost wax casting method. Michael has perfected the technique of creating models from natural elements. After models are made, Michael manipulates these "copies of nature" into beautiful jewelry. Using bronze, sterling silver or gold and natural stones and pearls Michael's designs have become well known for their remarkable craftsmanship and beauty

Michael Michaud's Bittersweet Branch Pin is rendered in hand patinaed bronze with red sponge coral. This Bittersweet Branch Pin measures 2 1/4" wide and 1 1/2" in from top to bottom. Also available in the Bittersweet collection is the Bittersweet Earrings, and Bittersweet Necklace. Perfect for this time of year!!

Michael Michaud’s Charms Gingko Leaf wire drop earrings pictured below are rendered in Bronze.

Holiday Votivo Candles Have Arrived

The new holiday Votivo candles have arrived and they are dressed up for the holidays. The beautiful 6.1 oz candles are natural soy-blend and will burn approximately 50 hours. Each candle is in a hand blown silver-toned glass container that is hand wrapped and elegantly boxed making them the a perfect gift. The fragrances are amazing...

Clementine & Clove An ode to a bygone era- coarsely chopped clove with fresh cinnamon sticks and dashes of black peppered nutmeg gently coat the dried Clementine oranges and fresh thyme sprigs, all wrapped to the tune of an old Christmas carol—a perfect symphony of the senses.
Christmas Sage Freshly harvested juniper berries, tangy hemlock cones, and fragrant emerald hued spruce boughs transform the rustic cabin into a light filled workshop where dreams are crafted with pride and hope fills the heart eternal with gifts that truly linger...and inspire memories for generations to come.

Joie De Noel In a centuries old tradition, darkened hearty cut spices, woody strands of aged rosemary, fragrant spruce and delicate hemlock boughs are mulled with caravan herbs and thickened honey combs in a blackened copper kettle over an open cherry wood flame: an unspoken welcome home anytime throughout the year.

Red Currant An all time best seller this scent is a savory blend of tart red currants and golden fruit glaze ladled over coarsely ground vanilla bean ice cream and served along side of raspberry filled sugar cookies… the original Red Currant.
Come in an check out these delightful new fragrances!!

Have you been to Love Dogs and Cats Too?

Have you been in our neighbor’s store Love Dogs and Cats Too? It is a wonderful shop for dogs, cats and the people who love them. All dogs and cats know when they bring their humans by to see the owner Ricki Smart, everybody will leave happy. That's because there are good things inside for both pets and their people.

For starters, they carry only the best pet food and treats. And while you're stocking your pet’s pantry, you'll find other wonderful things. For the pet who takes you they have fun toys, comfy beds, fancy collars, leads, and really cute clothing. For people who tag along there is great art, wonderful books, clothing and cool things for the garden.
Ricki purchased the shop in May 2006 and her philosophy is to provide the best new and unusual products for both humans and their furry children in a fun environment. Ricki says that there’s nothing more enjoyable than the sound of laughter coming from the art gallery upstairs! And it’s not just the people who have fun; their four-legged friends love all the great smells (as well as the treats).

At Love Dogs and Cats Too, they know that people have a choice in where they shop. They feel that more often than not, the service they receive is just as important as finding the right product and they are committed to providing their customers with the best possible service. Ricki says if they don’t have an item in stock, she’ll do her best to find it. “We want our customers to keep coming back.”

Stop in to see Ricki and Paulie (Pictured above!) and tell them that we sent you!

Seasonal Caldrea Has Arrived at Gatewood Hall

Caldrea Holiday 2009 Limited Edition Fragrances have arrived. Rose Pomegranate and Cypress Bergamot -- one a holiday favorite returned and the other a tradition that takes a modern twist. You are going to love these!! Available in dish soap, hand soap, hand lotion, countertop cleanser, petite sink sets and wonderful candles.

ROSE POMEGRANATE - A luscious, much-loved customer favorite returns for the holidays. I am so happy they brought it back because it is one of my favorites! Rose Pomegranate combines the joyful headiness of roses harvested in Provence with the juicy sweetness of Persian pomegranates. Gilded, fruity top notes of fig, pomegranate, and pineapple delight the senses. The heart of the fragrance is extravagantly floral, with rose, delicate jasmine, and wild palmarosa. Base notes of buttery caramel and musk add balance and depth.

CYPRESS BERGAMOT - This modern twist on the traditional, evergreen holiday fragrance features elements of fruit and bark. The result is a fresh winter tonic that Shawn is crazy about. Top notes of traditional fir mingle with sweet and spicy Italian bergamot. Cedar leaf, cypress and tart green apple freshen the core of the fragrance. Base notes of amyris bark, cinnamon bark and balsam provide warmth and a welcoming, woodsy richness.

Come in and see us, we want you to try these wonderful new items!!! Today, Saturday & Sunday get 10% off any Caldrea item when you mention you saw it on our blog!!
